This SATA cable by DeLOCK is designed for internal SATA connections and supports the SATA III standard with data transfer rates up to 6 Gb/s. The cable connects SATA devices such as hard disk drives (HDD), controller cards or flash storage. The connector orientation causes the cable to lead downwards when attached to a drive. The SATA 6 Gb/s interface is backward compatible with earlier SATA versions, operating at the respective lower speeds when used with older devices. Metal clips on the SATA connector provide additional snap-in retention.
