DELOCK SFF-8087 to 4×SATA 7p cable, 1 m, model 83314
DELOCK SFF-8087 to 4×SATA 7p cable, model 83314, length 1 m is an internal breakout cable designed to connect a Mini SAS internal host port to up to four standard SATA drives. One end features an SFF-8087 (Mini SAS) internal connector for direct attachment to compatible RAID controllers, host bus adapters or backplanes. The opposite end separates into four individual SATA 7‑pin plugs with metal clip latches for secure snap-in connections to HDDs or SSDs in servers and workstations.
This 1 m internal breakout cable provides a compact and reliable way to split a single Mini SAS lane into four SATA channels without external power or adapters. The SFF-8087 connector supports dense internal routing while the SATA connectors’ metal clips ensure stable mechanical retention and reduce the risk of accidental disconnection during operation. The cable construction is suitable for typical server and workstation internal environments where space and cable management matter.
Power off the system before connecting or disconnecting internal cables. Insert the SFF-8087 connector into the matching Mini SAS internal port on your RAID controller, HBA or backplane with gentle, even pressure. Route the cable carefully to avoid sharp bends or interference with cooling airflow. Plug each SATA 7‑pin connector into the corresponding drive’s SATA data socket until the metal clip engages. After connections are secured, restore power and verify that connected drives are detected in the system BIOS or storage controller utility.
Use this cable only for internal, data-only connections; ensure SATA drives have appropriate power connections from the system PSU. Avoid excessive bending radius near connectors and maintain proper airflow in server or workstation chassis to support drive cooling. Verify controller and drive compatibility with Mini SAS to SATA breakout configurations before installation.
