It supports a maximum bandwidth of 18 Gbit/s and a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, enabling 4K video at up to 60 Hz, 4K 3D at up to 24 Hz, and cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio content. The triple-shielded design carries audio, video and Ethernet signals and allows transmission of two simultaneous video channels and up to four audio channels; audio quality is improved by support for sampling rates up to 1536 kHz.
