PET-G filament for 3D printing is a thermoplastic polyester filament designed for FFF (fused filament fabrication) printers. The filament is wound on a spool and delivered vacuum-packed with a desiccant; each spool contains 1 kg of net material. PET-G offers a balance of strength, ease of printing and good layer adhesion, and is available in both opaque and transparent colors. It is suitable for use in most open-architecture and non-proprietary FFF printers after verifying printer compatibility.
PET-G combines the chemical resistance and toughness of PET with the added flexibility from glycol modification, resulting in a filament that prints with low warping and good interlayer bonding. It is user-friendly for beginners and provides clear or colored finished parts with consistent diameter (1.75 mm) and reliable feed from standard spools. The product arrives vacuum-sealed with a moisture absorber to preserve print quality.
Install the 1.75 mm PET-G filament on the printer spool holder, ensuring the filament feeds smoothly into the extruder. Use a heated bed and set the nozzle and bed temperatures according to your printer and filament manufacturer recommendations (start with commonly used PET-G settings and adjust as needed). Print at moderate speeds and enable proper cooling for bridging and overhangs; keep the filament stored vacuum-sealed with desiccant when not in use to prevent moisture absorption.
Before printing, verify that your printer supports PET-G and is not restricted by proprietary filament systems. Dry the filament if it shows signs of moisture (brittleness or bubbling during extrusion). For best results, use a brim or adhesive on the bed to improve first-layer adhesion and reduce warping.
