Filament spool, devil design ASA 1.75 mm 0.8 kg – Aluminum color
devil design ASA 1.75 mm filament on a 0.8 kg spool in Aluminum color is a thermoplastic filament formulated for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept ASA. With a 1.75 mm diameter and a medium-weight spool, this ASA material provides UV and weather resistance typical of acrylonitrile styrene acrylate, making it suitable for outdoor parts, functional prototypes and mechanically stressed components that require higher environmental stability.
The filament offers improved UV stability and better resistance to weathering compared with standard PLA and ABS, reducing yellowing and degradation when exposed to sunlight. Its dimensional stability and mechanical strength support the production of load-bearing parts and functional prototypes. The Aluminum color provides a neutral metallic appearance without the need for additional post-processing to achieve a uniform finish.
Load the filament into an FDM/FFF printer configured for ASA or similar high-temperature materials. Recommended print temperature ranges typically fall between 240–260 °C, with a heated bed set to around 90–110 °C to minimise warping; however, final settings should be adjusted for your specific printer and nozzle. Use a closed or well-enclosed build chamber to maintain consistent ambient temperature and reduce layer adhesion issues. Ensure good bed adhesion by using an appropriate build surface or adhesive aid suitable for ASA.
Store the filament in a dry environment or vacuum-sealed bag with desiccant to prevent moisture absorption. When printing parts for prolonged outdoor exposure, consider additional finishing or protective coatings if maximum chemical resistance or colour stability is required.
