Drill bit DeWalt DT6691-XJ, length 2000 mm, 1 pc
DeWalt DT6691-XJ drill bit, length 2000 mm, supplied as a single piece, is designed for deep-hole drilling where extended reach is required. The bit is intended for use with compatible DeWalt systems and standard chucks that accept its shank type. It is suitable for masonry, brick, stone, tiles and light concrete and is commonly used to create holes for anchors, plastic plugs, fixings or pipe clearance.
The drill bit features an anti-slip shank to maintain secure grip in the chuck during intensive drilling operations. Its unique carbide tip is soldered with a low-stress, high-temperature copper process to improve durability and reduce the risk of break-out. A hardened steel body with core reinforcement and an enlarged machined spiral provides high tensile strength, efficient chip removal and accelerated drilling progress in demanding materials.
Select a drill and chuck compatible with the bit's shank and ensure the anti-slip shank is fully seated and tightened. Mark the drilling position and start at low speed to establish the hole, then increase speed and apply steady pressure appropriate for the substrate. Use periodic withdrawal to clear dust and chips from the long flute and to prevent overheating. For deeper holes, check alignment frequently and maintain coolant or short pauses to avoid excessive heat build-up at the tip.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and hearing protection and dust extraction or a mask when drilling masonry materials. Match drill speed and feed to the material: lower speeds for harder substrates, moderate speed for tiles and light concrete. For anchoring work, verify hole diameter and depth against anchor manufacturer instructions before installation.
