Drill bit 6 mm DeWalt DT8912 for rotary hammer, length 110 mm, 1 pc
Drill bit 6 mm DeWalt DT8912 for rotary hammer, length 110 mm, 1 pc
DeWalt DT8912 drill bit for rotary hammer, 6 mm diameter and 110 mm length, supplied as a single piece. Designed for use with compatible SDS-plus rotary hammers, this drill bit is intended for drilling into masonry, concrete and similar materials. The bit is lightweight (approx. 20 g) and suited for routine drilling and replacement needs. The cutting tip is made from solid-piece carbide and features four cutting faces to reduce vibration and avoid jamming when encountering rebar; the four-flute helix improves dust and debris evacuation to maintain drilling speed in hard concrete.
The solid carbide tip with four cutting faces increases tip durability and improves penetration in reinforced concrete. The four-flute helical design enhances chip removal, reducing clogging and maintaining consistent drilling progress. The SDS-plus shank provides secure tool engagement and quick bit changes with compatible rotary hammers. Compact length and light weight make the bit easy to store and handle for repeatable everyday tasks.
Fit the drill bit into the SDS-plus chuck of a compatible rotary hammer until it locks in place. Select the hammer drilling mode on the tool and set an appropriate rotational speed and impact setting for concrete or masonry. Position the bit at the marked drilling point, start at low speed to establish a pilot point if required, then apply steady pressure while drilling. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear debris and avoid overheating; allow the bit to cool during extended use.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask. For best results in reinforced concrete, use controlled feeding pressure and let the carbide tip do the cutting; avoid excessive lateral force. Replace the bit if cutting efficiency drops or the tip shows visible wear or chipping.
