Drill Bit DeWalt DT9522 SDS-Plus 6.5 x 260/200 mm
Drill Bit DeWalt DT9522 SDS-Plus 6.5 x 260/200 mm
SDS-Plus rotary drill bit DeWalt DT9522 with a 6.5 mm diameter and overall/working lengths of 260/200 mm. The bit is made for use with SDS-Plus rotary hammers and is intended for drilling in concrete, masonry and natural stone. Its reinforced tip and shank are designed to withstand impact drilling and repeated loading, making the tool appropriate for anchoring, through-holes and preparatory drilling tasks on construction and installation sites.
The reinforced carbide tip improves penetration in hard materials while maintaining shape and cutting performance over extended use. The SDS-Plus shank ensures fast and secure bit retention and compatibility with a wide range of rotary hammers. Balanced geometry and optimized flute design evacuate dust efficiently to reduce jamming and support continuous drilling. The combination of a slender 6.5 mm diameter and a 200 mm working length enables precise pilot holes and anchoring points without excessive damage to surrounding material.
Install the SDS-Plus bit into the rotary hammer until it locks securely. Select the hammer or rotary mode appropriate for the material and start drilling at low speed to establish the hole position, then apply steady pressure and allow the tool’s impact action to advance the bit. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust from the hole and inspect the tip for wear. For through-holes, ensure proper alignment and support of the workpiece to prevent binding. Replace the bit when cutting performance noticeably decreases or the tip shows significant wear.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and ear protection and dust extraction or a dust mask when drilling. Match the drill mode and speed to the material and avoid excessive lateral force that could damage the bit. For best results in reinforced concrete, consider pre-marking rebar locations or using a detection device to avoid striking reinforcement.
