Drill Bit DeWalt DT9536 SDS-Plus/EX2 9 x 160/100 mm
Drill Bit DeWalt DT9536 SDS-Plus/EX2 9 x 160/100 mm
DeWalt DT9536 SDS-Plus/EX2 9 x 160/100 mm is a rotary hammer drill bit designed for SDS-Plus chucks and heavy-duty drilling in concrete, masonry and similar mineral materials. The EX2 design improves wear resistance and enables efficient removal of dust and debris during rotary and percussion drilling. The 9 mm cutting diameter and 160 mm overall length with 100 mm working length provide a balance between reach and stability for through-holes and anchor installations.
The EX2 geometry reduces friction and enhances chip evacuation, resulting in faster drilling rates and longer service life compared with standard bits. Precision-ground carbide tip maintains cutting performance and helps start holes accurately without excessive walking. The SDS-Plus shank ensures secure retention in compatible rotary hammers and allows quick bit changes. The combination of a compact 9 mm diameter and extended working length offers versatility for common anchoring and fixing tasks.
Install the SDS-Plus shank into a compatible rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring the chuck locks securely. Mark and, if needed, pilot the drilling location. Use hammer or hammer-drill mode for concrete and masonry, applying steady pressure without forcing the bit. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and prevent overheating. For through-holes, monitor bit penetration and adjust drilling depth to match anchor or fixture requirements.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection, hearing protection and dust mask. Select a drill setting and rotational speed recommended by the rotary hammer manufacturer for a 9 mm bit in concrete. Replace the drill bit when cutting performance declines or the carbide tip shows significant wear. For reinforced concrete, use caution and slow feed to detect and navigate rebar.
