Hole saw DRAUMET BI-metal Ø102 mm – DRAUMET Kroņurbis d-102mm
DRAUMET BI-metal hole saw Ø102 mm is made from HSS tool steel with M2 high-carbon steel teeth. Designed for drilling clean circular openings in steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium, wood and plastics. The cutter has an M14 thread and HEX mounting method, with a cutting depth of 34 mm.
The bi-metal construction combines wear resistance of HSS teeth with a flexible body to reduce breakage and extend tool life. A 102 mm diameter provides a standard size for many installation tasks, while the 34 mm cutting depth allows through-holes or deep recesses in a variety of materials. M14 thread and HEX mount give compatibility with common drills and secure attachment during use.
Mount the hole saw onto a compatible arbor or directly to a drill with M14/HEX connection, ensuring firm attachment. Secure the workpiece and mark the hole center. Start drilling at low speed to seat the pilot, then increase speed and apply steady pressure. For metal, use cutting fluid to reduce heat and extend tool life. After cutting, remove burrs as needed.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses and gloves). Select drilling speed according to material: lower speeds for stainless steel and hard metals, higher speeds for wood and plastics. Avoid excessive side pressure and allow the tool to cool when cutting thick metal.
