Chisel Set for Wood Drel CON-3930 — 4 pcs flat chisels 6/12/18/24 mm
Drel CON-3930 is a set of four flat wood chisels in widths 6 mm, 12 mm, 18 mm and 24 mm. The chisels are intended for manual carving, fitting and trimming of wood and provide a flat blade profile suitable for general woodworking, joinery, furniture repair and hobby crafts. The set covers precision detail work with the narrower blades and larger paring and smoothing tasks with the wider tools.
The chisels feature hardened steel blades with a straight cutting edge designed to hold a working bevel and to be resharpened as needed. Comfortable handles provide a secure grip during controlled hand use and light mallet strikes. Having four common widths in one set ensures versatility for cutting, paring, trenching and cleaning joints without changing tool families.
This chisel set is designed primarily for manual woodworking tasks and light mallet use. It may not be suitable for heavy demolition, large-scale masonry, metalworking, or tasks that require specialized bevel angles or non-flat profiles such as gouges or skew chisels. For repeated heavy striking with a steel hammer or industrial production settings, chisels specifically rated for such impact should be used.
Select the chisel width appropriate for the cut or joint and orient the bevel according to the desired shaving or paring direction. Secure the workpiece in a vise or with clamps to prevent movement. Use controlled hand pressure for paring and trimming; when additional force is required, apply light strikes with a wooden or rubber mallet to the handle end. Keep the chisel bevel facing the waste side when removing material and work progressively from shallow to deeper cuts. After use, clean the blade and store the chisels in a protective roll or box to prevent damage to the cutting edge.
Maintain a keen edge by honing regularly on a sharpening stone and avoid striking the handles with steel hammers. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection and secure the workpiece. Store the chisels with blade guards or in a pouch to preserve cutting performance.
