The Dyson Supersonic Nural™ hair dryer intelligently adapts airflow and temperature to enhance natural shine and protect scalp health. Nural™ sensors and a visible light capsule work together to measure distance, recognise attachments and indicate current heat settings. The device offers Scalp protect mode for close-up drying, pause detection to stop heating when the dryer is set down, and interchangeable intelligent attachments including a new Flyaway Smoother with two styling modes.

Advantages

Scalp protect mode automatically reduces temperature as the dryer approaches the scalp, helping to maintain comfortable, consistent temperatures. Attachment learning recognises and recalls your preferred settings for each nozzle. Pause detection deactivates the heater and reduces airflow and noise when the dryer is set down. The visible light capsule displays the selected heat level, while the Hyperdymium™ motor and Air Multiplier™ technology deliver fast, controlled drying without excessive heat damage.

How to use

Attach the chosen nozzle; the hair dryer will recognise it and recall the last settings associated with that attachment. For close-up drying near the scalp, use Scalp protect mode—the Time-of-Flight sensor lowers the air temperature as the device approaches hair to maintain a comfortable temperature. Use the Flyaway Smoother on dry hair to finish and add shine: select Smoothing mode for straighter styles or Flyaway mode to lift longer hairs forward and hide flyaways. Press the cold shot button to cool and set the style. When you put the dryer down, pause detection will reduce airflow and deactivate heating automatically.

Recommendations

Use the gentle air attachment, styling concentrator or smoothing nozzle when drying close to the scalp to benefit from automatic temperature adjustment. For best results on flyaways, finish on dry hair with the Flyaway Smoother and use the cold shot to set the style.
