EATON InLine USB display cable USB-C male to HDMI male, 5 m, black
The EATON InLine USB display cable (USB-C male to HDMI male, 5 m, black) transfers video and audio from USB-C devices with DisplayPort Alternate Mode or Thunderbolt 3 to HDMI displays. The cable uses a USB Type-C plug on the source side and an HDMI A plug on the display side, with gold-plated contacts and anodised aluminium housings for reliable signal transfer. It supports up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz, HDCP 2.2/1.4, 3D formats and requires no external power thanks to an integrated chipset (LT8711EH-C).
This 5 m cable provides a direct, plug-and-play connection from compatible laptops, tablets or smartphones to HDMI monitors, TVs or projectors without requiring separate adapters. Support for HDMI 2.0 and VESA DisplayPort 1.2 ensures high-resolution video at 60 Hz with RGB or YCbCr 4:4:4 colour sampling. Gold-plated contacts and metal plug housings improve contact quality and durability, while USB powering eliminates the need for an external power supply.
This cable requires a source device with USB Type-C that explicitly supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode, or a Thunderbolt 3 port. It will not provide video output from USB-C ports that only support charging or data transfer without DP Alt Mode. Devices that need features beyond HDMI 2.0 (for example HDMI 2.1 bandwidth or advanced adaptive sync features) may not be fully supported.
Connect the USB-C plug to a computer, tablet or smartphone that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode or a Thunderbolt 3 port. Plug the HDMI end into the HDMI input of a monitor, TV or projector. The cable supports plug & play operation; the display should be recognised automatically by the operating system. Adjust resolution and display mode (extend, duplicate, external only) in the system display settings if necessary.
For stable 4K@60Hz performance, connect directly to the display without additional adapters or daisy-chaining. If the source device does not detect the display, check for the DisplayPort logo near the USB-C port, update the device graphics drivers and ensure the operating system supports external displays (Windows 7/8/10 or macOS 10.9 and newer are compatible). Avoid sharp bends near connectors and route the cable to minimize interference from large power sources.
