Product information

Description

The Edimax EW-7811Un is a compact Wireless USB Adapter that supports IEEE 802.11b/g/n (Wi‑Fi 4) on the 2.4 GHz band with a maximum data rate of 150 Mbps. USB‑powered and ultra‑small, the adapter extends wireless coverage and provides a simple way to add or upgrade wireless connectivity on laptops and desktops while maintaining a discreet footprint.

Advantages

The adapter complies with 802.11b/g/n standards and can achieve up to 150 Mbps when paired with an 802.11n device, offering greater range and more stable connections compared with older 802.11g adapters. Green WLAN features intelligently adjust transmit power and idle state to reduce energy consumption. The device supports software WPS for easier secure setup and includes a multi‑language EZmax setup wizard to simplify installation. Its nano, portable design minimizes protrusion from a USB port and is convenient for mobile use.

Suitable for

Adding wireless connectivity to laptops or desktops without built‑in Wi‑Fi
Upgrading older 802.11g systems to 802.11n speeds on the 2.4 GHz band
Small form‑factor systems and travel use where a low‑profile adapter is preferred
Simple home and small office browsing, streaming and light LAN tasks
