How to use

Insert a 9V battery, switch on the detector and slowly move it across the surface to be checked. Listen for the acoustic warning signal and watch for the detection response when the unit passes over a metal, wooden or live electrical conductor. For best results move the device steadily and perpendicular to the surface. After use, set the detector down on a flat surface; it will switch off automatically after one minute of inactivity.

Usage recommendations

Before drilling or cutting, always scan the area thoroughly and, if a live cable is detected, isolate the circuit if possible.
