Impact Magnetic Socket 12 mm EINHELL 49135230

The Impact Magnetic Socket 12 mm by EINHELL is a single-piece impact-rated socket designed for use with impact drivers and impact wrenches. Its magnetic insert holds hex-head fasteners securely in place to simplify alignment and reduce the risk of dropping screws or bolts during installation and removal. Built to work with heavy-duty impact tools, this 12 mm socket is intended for tasks in mechanical repairs, construction, and general DIY where a compact, magnet-assisted socket improves handling and speed.

Advantages

The magnetic feature ensures stable retention of fasteners, making one-handed starts and overhead work easier. Constructed for impact use, the socket tolerates the high torque and repeated impacts generated by impact drivers and wrenches. Its 12 mm size covers a common range of bolts and nuts, and the standardized drive interface allows quick attachment to compatible impact tools and extensions.

Suitable for

• Automotive repairs and maintenance involving 12 mm fasteners
• Construction and assembly work requiring impact driver use
• DIY and home improvement projects where magnetic retention speeds up fastening

When it may not be suitable

This magnetic impact socket is intended specifically for impact tools and should not be used with non-impact hand tools when an exact fit or softer contact is required. It may not be suitable for applications that require insulated tools for electrical work, as the metal construction and magnetic insert do not provide electrical insulation or protection against shock.

Key specifications

• Socket size: 12 mm
• Designed for impact driver and impact wrench use
• Magnetic retention to hold fasteners in place
• Standard drive interface for quick tool attachment
• Durable metal construction suitable for repeated impact loads

How to use

Attach the 12 mm impact magnetic socket to a compatible impact driver or impact wrench by engaging the drive interface until it locks. Place the socket over the hex head of the bolt or nut so that the magnetic insert holds the fastener. Apply short bursts of torque to start or remove the fastener, maintaining control to avoid over-tightening. For best results, use appropriate torque settings on the impact tool and wear eye protection when working with high-torque equipment.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm your impact tool drive size and compatibility with a 12 mm socket
• Ensure magnetic retention is appropriate for your application (not suitable for electrical insulation)
• Consider required torque levels and whether the socket material meets heavy-duty demands

Usage recommendations

Use the socket with impact-rated extensions and holders when working in tight spaces, and regularly inspect the socket for wear or deformation. Replace the socket if signs of cracking or rounding appear to maintain safe and accurate fastening.
