Drill bit set EINHELL 49423006 — 6 pcs HSS-R metal drill bits, black/red
The Einhell 6-piece HSS-R metal drill bit set includes the most commonly used diameters: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm. The bits are made from HSS 4241 high-performance steel with a black burnished finish that improves corrosion resistance and extends service life. A 135° drill point and a roll-forged type N spiral (DIN 338) ensure fast, precise drilling and effective chip removal. The round shanks fit all standard drill chucks, and the set is supplied in a practical storage cassette with transparent lid, auto-lock clip and Euro hole hanger for easy storage.
The set offers a convenient selection of sizes for typical metalworking tasks and is manufactured from high-quality HSS 4241 steel, giving reliable cutting performance. The 135° point produces clean holes and reduces walking on the workpiece, while the roll-forged spiral promotes efficient chip evacuation. The black burnished surface provides additional corrosion protection and the round shanks ensure compatibility with common cordless screwdrivers and drills. The storage cassette keeps the drill bits organised and ready to use.
These HSS-R drill bits are not intended for drilling stainless steel or hardened steel; performance and tool life will be reduced on such materials. They are designed for occasional use typical of DIY and general maintenance rather than heavy industrial continuous drilling.
Select the appropriate diameter for the hole required and secure the drill bit in the drill chuck. Use moderate cutting speeds and steady feed when drilling non-ferrous metals, aluminium, sheet metal or plastic. Apply cutting fluid where appropriate to extend tool life and improve chip evacuation. Ensure the workpiece is clamped securely and start drilling with light pressure until the point has engaged, then continue with steady pressure to complete the hole.
For cleaner holes and longer tool life when drilling metals, use appropriate cutting fluid, keep drill speeds moderate for larger diameters, and clamp the workpiece securely. Replace worn bits to maintain hole quality.
