electro base fiber optic cleaning pen for 2.50 mm adapters and SC connectors

The electro base fiber optic cleaning pen for 2.50 mm adapters and SC connectors is a professional network tool designed for maintenance of optical fiber networks. This cleaning tool provides an efficient and reliable method for removing dust, oil, and other debris from optical interfaces, ensuring optimal signal transmission and reducing insertion loss in communication systems.

Advantages

The electro base cleaning pen offers a convenient and ergonomic design that allows for precise cleaning in hard-to-reach areas. It utilizes a mechanical push-to-clean action that delivers consistent cleaning results with every use. The anti-static cleaning fabric minimizes electrostatic discharge, protecting sensitive optical components during maintenance. Additionally, the device is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry in a standard tool kit for on-site network operations.

Suitable for

• Cleaning 2.50 mm fiber optic adapters
• Maintaining SC connectors in telecommunication networks
• Routine maintenance of fiber optic patch panels
• Optical network installation and troubleshooting tasks

When it may not be suitable

This cleaning pen is not designed for connector types or ferrule sizes other than 2.50 mm, such as 1.25 mm LC or MU connectors. It should also not be used on heavily contaminated connectors that require specialized liquid cleaning solutions or ultrasonic cleaning methods.

Key specifications

• Compatible with 2.50 mm optical adapters
• Designed for SC connectors
• Mechanical push-to-clean operation
• Anti-static cleaning material

How to use

Remove the dust cap from the cleaning pen tip. Insert the tip of the cleaning pen into the 2.50 mm adapter or directly onto the ferrule of the SC connector. Push the outer casing until an audible click is heard, indicating that the cleaning fabric has advanced across the end face. Withdraw the pen from the adapter or connector. Inspect the optical surface with a fiber microscope to ensure cleanliness before making any optical connections.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your network equipment utilizes 2.50 mm adapters or SC connectors
• Check the estimated number of cleaning cycles to ensure it meets your maintenance frequency
• Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent contamination of the cleaning tip

Regularly inspect and maintain your optical network components using the electro base cleaning pen to prevent signal degradation and ensure long-term reliability of fiber optic links.
