ELEGOO PLA+ Filament in blue (1.75 mm, 1 kg) is a plant-based polylactide blend with additives that improve durability compared to standard PLA. The filament offers uniform color and a smooth texture for consistent, clean prints and is supplied on a 1 kg spool suitable for most FDM/FFF printers that accept 1.75 mm filament.

Advantages

PLA+ combines the ease of printing of standard PLA with increased resistance to breakage and improved layer consistency. The filament is manufactured to a consistent 1.75 mm diameter with a dimensional tolerance of ±0.02 mm to reduce feeding issues and clogging. The smooth surface and good heat conduction support accurate reproduction of details and reduce warping in more complex prints. The spool is hand-checked, evenly wound, vacuum-packed and supplied with a moisture absorber for ready-to-print convenience.

How to use

Store the vacuum-packed spool with the included moisture absorber until ready to print. If recommended, dry the filament at 55 ± 5°C before printing. Load the filament into an FDM/FFF printer that supports 1.75 mm filament and set nozzle temperature between 200–230°C. Set the build plate temperature according to your printer and surface (typically 35–65°C) and use a textured PEI or another compatible print surface for better adhesion. Print at speeds below 280 mm/s and monitor the first layers for proper adhesion and extrusion.

Usage recommendations

Keep leftover filament stored with a desiccant in a sealed container to avoid moisture absorption. Adjust temperature and print speed per your printer and model geometry to balance surface finish and mechanical performance.
