Filament spool for 3D printing Elegoo ASA Black, model 50.203.0182
ELEGOO ASA filament in black (model 50.203.0182) is a weather-resistant thermoplastic filament for FDM/FFF 3D printers. Designed for outdoor and functional parts, the ASA material resists UV exposure, rain and elevated temperatures without significant discoloration or cracking, making it suitable for garden, technical and decorative prints. The filament is precisely wound on a recycled cardboard spool and vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber to preserve print quality.
ASA offers higher heat resistance than PLA and PETG and maintains shape and mechanical properties at temperatures approaching 100°C. Its impact resistance, stiffness and durability are comparable to ABS, enabling reliable functional parts. The filament diameter tolerance of ±0.02 mm reduces feeding issues and jams, while vacuum packaging and moisture control help prevent bubble formation and moisture-related defects.
Load the spool into any compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer and thread the filament according to your printer's instructions. Set the nozzle temperature to 240–270 °C and the build plate to 90–100 °C, using a textured PEI or another compatible surface for best adhesion. If the filament has been exposed to moisture, dry it at about 80 °C (±5 °C) before printing. Use moderate printing speeds and ensure proper cooling settings for dimensional accuracy.
Store the filament vacuum-packed with a desiccant at relative humidity ≤ 20% and ambient temperatures ≤ 80 °C. Use textured PEI or similar build surfaces for better adhesion and avoid printing speeds that exceed the recommended limits to reduce the risk of defects.
