PLA Bronze 3D printer filament, Elegoo 1.75 mm, 1 kg spool
Elegoo PLA Bronze 3D printer filament, 1.75 mm diameter on a 1 kg spool, delivers a bronze-colored finish with a subtle metallic sheen while retaining standard PLA printing characteristics. This plant-based polylactide material is biodegradable and formulated for FDM/FFF desktop printers, offering good surface quality and straightforward processing. The spool is machine-wound and hand-checked to reduce tangles; three viewing holes on the spool help monitor remaining material. Cardboard spool packaging supports easier recycling.
The bronze pigment produces a decorative metallic look without requiring specialty printers or nozzles, enabling attractive figures, props and decorative parts. Dimensional tolerance of the 1.75 mm filament is tightly controlled (±0.02 mm), which supports steady feeding and reduces the risk of jams. The material adheres well to common build surfaces, minimizes stringing and yields smooth, uniform surfaces. Practical spool design and recyclable packaging simplify storage and handling.
Load the 1.75 mm Elegoo PLA Bronze filament into an FDM/FFF printer equipped for PLA. Preheat the nozzle to a temperature within the recommended 190–230°C range and set the build plate to the suggested 35–65°C depending on your printer and surface. If the filament has absorbed moisture, dry the spool at about 55°C for a few hours before printing. Ensure proper first-layer adhesion by using a textured PEI or other compatible surface and calibrate bed leveling and extrusion settings for consistent flow. Print at moderate speeds and adjust cooling to achieve the desired surface finish.
Store the filament in a dry environment with low humidity and consider using desiccant packs. For best visual results, use moderate nozzle temperatures within the specified range and enable part cooling after the first few layers to reduce stringing and improve surface detail. Avoid printing for prolonged periods above the material’s deflection temperature if the printed part must bear loads at elevated temperatures.
