Nozzle set for Elegoo Centauri Carbon — hardened brass 0.2 mm nozzle
Nozzle set for Elegoo Centauri Carbon — hardened brass 0.2 mm nozzle
Nozzle set for Elegoo Centauri Carbon featuring a hardened brass 0.2 mm nozzle designed for high-precision 3D printing. The nozzle delivers a fine 0.2 mm extrusion diameter for detailed layer lines and improved surface definition. Its hardened brass construction and optimized feed geometry reduce material leakage and support stable filament flow, while good thermal conductivity and increased hardness make it suitable for frequent use and demanding print jobs.
The hardened brass nozzle provides high wear resistance and durability compared with standard brass, while maintaining sufficient thermal conductivity for consistent melting of common filaments. The 0.2 mm orifice enables very fine detail and sharp contours, and the precise fit minimizes leakage and ensures reliable extrusion at varying print speeds.
The 0.2 mm nozzle is not ideal for fast, large-volume prints where print speed and high flow rates are priorities; very small nozzles increase print time. It may also clog more easily with filled or highly abrasive filaments unless appropriate printing temperatures and cleaning routines are used.
Install the nozzle into the Centauri Carbon hotend following the printer manufacturer’s recommended tightening procedure and temperature settings. Heat the hotend to printing temperature before removing or installing the nozzle to avoid damage. After installation, calibrate the first layer height and adjust extrusion multiplier if necessary to account for the smaller 0.2 mm orifice.
Use lower layer heights (≤0.12 mm), moderate print speeds, and appropriate retraction settings for best results with the 0.2 mm nozzle. For abrasive filaments, consider more wear-resistant alternatives and perform regular nozzle maintenance.
