Nozzle set for Elegoo Centauri Carbon 0.8 mm hardened brass
Nozzle set for Elegoo Centauri Carbon 0.8 mm hardened brass
Set of 0.8 mm hardened brass nozzles for the ELEGOO Centauri Carbon 3D printer. These nozzles have a 0.8 mm orifice and are manufactured from hardened brass to offer increased wear resistance and stable thermal transfer. They are designed to fit the Centauri Carbon and provide a larger flow path for faster extrusion and improved handling of abrasive or high-flow filaments while maintaining good print quality and repeatability.
Hardened brass construction increases durability compared with standard brass nozzles and maintains good thermal conductivity for stable melt temperatures. The 0.8 mm diameter enables higher flow rates and faster printing of larger layers or structural parts, while the optimized feed channel and precise fit reduce the risk of leakage and support consistent filament flow.
A 0.8 mm nozzle produces thicker extrusion lines and is not intended for very fine-detail printing or parts that require high-resolution features. For extremely abrasive materials with heavy filler content, even hardened brass may wear faster than hardened steel or coated nozzles, so consider this when expecting very long runs with highly abrasive composites.
Turn off and cool the hotend before changing the nozzle. Use the printer’s maintenance instructions to remove the existing nozzle and screw in the new 0.8 mm hardened brass nozzle with the correct wrench until it seats firmly against the heater block. Re-level the bed and recalibrate extrusion multiplier or flow rate as needed to account for the larger orifice and adjusted extrusion volume.
After installation, print a small calibration part to adjust flow and temperature. Increase layer height and print speed to take advantage of the 0.8 mm nozzle, and monitor initial prints for proper adhesion and consistent extrusion when switching to new filament types.
