Cable Elektrokabel Tel/Emergency YTDY 10×0.5 mm² — 100 m
Elektrokabel Tel/Emergency YTDY 10×0.5 mm² — 100 m is a multi-core internal cable designed for telephone, alarm and low-voltage communication installations in buildings. It contains ten individually insulated conductors with a conductor cross-section of 0.5 mm² each, grouped within a common outer sheath to provide organized routing for signal and control circuits. The cable is intended for fixed indoor installation where multiple pairs or cores are required for PBX lines, intercoms, alarm panels and other communication equipment.
The YTDY construction offers compact organization of ten separate cores in a single jacket, reducing the need for multiple single-core runs and simplifying cable management. Insulated conductors help maintain signal clarity and reduce the risk of short circuits between cores. The 0.5 mm² conductor size balances flexibility and current-carrying capacity for typical telephone and low-voltage control signals. Supplied on a 100 m length, the cable supports medium-length runs without additional splicing and is suitable for installation in cable ducts, conduits and risers in indoor environments.
Route the cable along designated indoor pathways such as cable ducts, raceways or conduits, avoiding exposure to moisture and direct sunlight. Strip the outer sheath carefully to expose individual insulated cores without damaging conductor insulation. Terminate cores at connector blocks, terminal strips or equipment inputs according to wiring diagrams and color coding. Secure the cable with appropriate clips or ties at regular intervals and maintain bend radii recommended for multi-core cables to avoid stress on conductors.
For optimal performance, use this cable for low-voltage communication and signaling circuits only. Keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and sources of electromagnetic interference. When routing near transformers, motors or fluorescent lighting, increase separation or use screening where necessary. Verify compatibility with connected equipment and follow local electrical codes and installation standards for fixed internal cabling.
