Digital I/O module Eltako FTS14EM
Digital I/O module Eltako FTS14EM is an input module for the Eltako RS485 bus providing ten control inputs for universal control voltages. The modular device is designed for DIN-EN 60715 TH35 rail mounting, occupies 2 modules (36 mm wide) with a depth of 58 mm and has a very low standby loss of 0.1 W. Connection to the Eltako RS485 bus includes bus cross wiring and power supply via jumper. The module is intended to be used together with FTS14KS or FAM14 and supports isolated control inputs.
The FTS14EM supports a wide control voltage range (8–230 V UC) on ten electrically isolated inputs, enabling flexible integration of different signal sources while keeping the supply voltage separated from the inputs. Its compact two-module format saves DIN-rail space and the device has minimal standby power consumption. Bus cross wiring and jumper-configurable power supply simplify installation and wiring within Eltako RS485 systems.
Mount the FTS14EM on a TH35 DIN rail and connect it to the Eltako RS485 bus using the provided terminals; configure bus cross wiring and power supply with the jumper as required. Wire the control sources to the ten inputs, observing the allowed control voltage range (8–230 V UC) and the specified polarity for +E and -E. Use the module together with an appropriate central unit such as FTS14KS or FAM14 for operation and integration into the automation system. From production week 44/15 inputs can be set for pushbuttons, window/door contacts or motion detectors depending on installation needs.
Check compatibility with the chosen central unit (FTS14KS or FAM14) and verify input wiring and jumper settings before applying power. Follow applicable electrical installation standards and isolate power during wiring.
