Wireless Access Point EnGenius Fit6 2×2 Outdoor — dual-band 2.4/5 GHz, 1774 Mbps, PoE, 2.5GbE LAN, 4 antennas, white
The EnGenius Fit6 2×2 Outdoor is a dual-band wireless access point designed for outdoor deployment in small to medium business and campus environments. Supporting IEEE 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6) together with legacy 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards, the unit delivers combined maximum throughput up to 1774 Mbps (574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz). The weatherproof IP67-rated housing, four integrated antennas and a single 2.5 Gbps RJ‑45 port with PoE support (IEEE 802.3at/af) allow flexible installation where reliable outdoor Wi‑Fi coverage is required.
The access point provides Wi‑Fi 6 performance in an IP67 enclosure suited to outdoor conditions, combining higher spectral efficiency with backward compatibility for older client devices. A 2.5 GbE LAN interface enables higher-capacity uplinks compared with standard Gigabit ports while Power over Ethernet simplifies installation by carrying power and data over a single cable. Enterprise-class security and management options include WPA2/WPA3 and SNMP, plus selectable cloud or on‑premises management to match administrative needs.
Mount the access point at a location with clear line of sight to the target coverage area and secure it following the manufacturer’s mounting instructions for outdoor installations. Connect a PoE-capable switch or PoE injector to the 2.5GbE RJ‑45 port to provide both power and network connectivity. Configure SSIDs, security (WPA2/WPA3) and radio settings via the chosen management method (cloud or on‑premises controller). Perform a site survey or use built‑in monitoring tools to verify signal coverage and adjust placement or antenna orientation if necessary.
For reliable outdoor performance, install the unit in a weather-protected mounting position with adequate airflow and ensure the PoE source complies with IEEE 802.3at/af power budgets. Use the 2.5GbE uplink where higher backhaul capacity is required and enable WPA3 where client support exists to improve wireless security and future-proof the deployment.
