Protective Earthing Clamp with Cone and Cover ENSTO SEW20.3S for Al conductors 35–157 mm²
ENSTO SEW20.3S is a protective earthing clamp designed for aluminium conductors with cross-sections from 35 to 157 mm². The clamp incorporates a conical contact and an insulated protective cover to ensure reliable mechanical grip and low-resistance electrical connection during grounding and earthing operations. The product is intended for use in power distribution networks, line maintenance and both temporary and permanent earthing tasks where a secure connection to aluminium conductors is required.
The conical contact provides an increased contact surface and consistent pressure on aluminium conductors, reducing the risk of poor electrical contact and arcing. The integrated protective cover insulates the connection area against accidental touch and environmental contamination while allowing safe handling during installation and removal. The clamp is constructed to withstand the mechanical stresses of line work and to maintain stable electrical continuity under typical load and environmental conditions.
Select a suitable conductor section within the specified cross-section range and ensure the conductor is de-energized and verified as safe before any work. Open the clamp, position the conical contact onto the aluminium conductor to achieve firm mechanical engagement, then close or secure the clamp according to manufacturer guidance so the contact and cover fully enclose the conductor. Verify electrical continuity to the earthing system and confirm the protective cover is correctly positioned to prevent accidental contact. After completing grounding tasks, remove the clamp following the reverse procedure and inspect the clamp and cover for any wear or damage before storage or reuse.
Use only on aluminium conductors within the specified cross-section range and always follow applicable safety procedures, local regulations and the operator’s safety instructions. Periodically inspect the clamp and its insulating cover for mechanical wear, corrosion or contamination. Replace the clamp if any damage that could compromise electrical or mechanical performance is detected.
