Abrasive flap disc EPM PRO-X zirconia grit 60, 125 mm
Abrasive flap disc EPM PRO-X zirconia grit 60, 125 mm
The EPM PRO-X zirconia grit 60 abrasive flap disc, 125 mm diameter, is intended for grinding, blending and surface preparation on metal and steel. Constructed from overlapping zirconia alumina abrasive flaps, the disc provides aggressive material removal while maintaining a consistent work finish. It is compatible with standard 125 mm angle grinders and designed for tasks such as weld cleaning, deburring and shaping of metal components.
The zirconia alumina abrasive composition delivers high cutting performance and extended life compared with conventional abrasives. Layered flap construction ensures even wear and uniform finish across the working surface. The 125 mm size balances reach and control for both flat surfaces and contours. Designed to run true at common grinder speeds, the disc reduces vibration and preserves operator control when used within specified safety limits.
Mount the flap disc on a compatible 125 mm angle grinder following the grinder manufacturer’s instructions and safety guidelines. Check the disc for damage before use and ensure proper flange and backing support. Operate the grinder at the recommended speed range for the disc and apply light, consistent pressure while moving across the workpiece to avoid gouging. Allow the abrasive flaps to wear progressively to reveal fresh abrasive and maintain cutting efficiency. Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, gloves and respiratory protection if required by the work environment.
For best results on steel, maintain steady traversing motion and avoid prolonged dwell in one spot. Use grit 60 for faster stock removal; switch to finer grits for smoother finishing. Inspect the disc periodically and replace it if excessive wear, cracking or backing damage is observed.
