Indoor Temperature & Humidity Sensor eQ-3 AG HmIP-STH
Indoor Temperature & Humidity Sensor eQ-3 AG HmIP-STH
The Homematic IP Indoor Temperature & Humidity Sensor (eQ-3 AG HmIP-STH) measures room temperature and relative humidity for integration into Homematic IP smart home systems. The compact, flat wireless sensor (86 × 20 × 86 mm) operates on a single 1.5 V alkaline LR03/AAA battery and can be powered for up to two years. It can be installed nearly anywhere within the radio range, including into 55 mm single and multi-gang frames from other manufacturers; the required mounting material and adhesive strips or screws are supplied. The device is compatible with the Homematic IP Access Point and app, the Homematic CCU2 central control unit, and selected partner solutions.
The sensor provides accurate, continuous measurement of indoor temperature and humidity and communicates wirelessly for easy integration with Homematic IP radiator thermostats and floor heating actuators to regulate room climate. Its compact design and long battery life allow flexible placement without frequent maintenance. Installation is straightforward using the included adhesive strips or screws, and the unit fits common 55 mm frames from third-party manufacturers.
Install one AAA battery and place the sensor within the Homematic IP network using the Access Point or by pairing with a CCU2. Mount the sensor on a wall or in a compatible frame using the supplied adhesive strips or screws; position it away from direct sunlight, heat sources and drafts for representative measurements. Once paired, configure the sensor via the Homematic IP app or CCU2 and link it to radiator thermostats or floor heating actuators to enable automatic climate control based on measured temperature and humidity.
Place the sensor at typical room height (about 1.5 m) on an interior wall, avoid locations near radiators, windows or kitchen stoves, and replace the battery when the app or control unit indicates low battery to ensure uninterrupted measurement and regulation.
