The Homematic IP HmIP-WKP Smart door lock keypad provides secure, battery-powered code access to your home and integrates with other Homematic IP devices. With a compact black and stainless steel design and AAA battery operation, the keypad sends encrypted wireless commands to the Homematic IP Door Lock Actuator to lock or unlock the door without wiring. It stores access codes and time profiles locally so it continues to operate even if the internet is unavailable.

Advantages

How to use

Mount the keypad near your door and insert the AAA batteries. Configure the device with the Homematic IP system and pair it with the Homematic IP Door Lock Actuator. Create user codes and, if required, assign time-controlled access profiles. To unlock the door, enter the assigned numerical code on the keypad; the keypad will send a secure command to the Door Lock Actuator to operate the lock. The keypad can also be linked to other Homematic IP devices to activate lighting, alarm modes or garage door control using different codes.

Usage recommendations

Assign unique codes to each user and set time-limited access for temporary users. Regularly check battery status and test code entry logging. Keep a backup mechanical key available if needed for emergency access.
