Punch Down Tool Equip LSA 129119
The equip® LSA punch down tool (Punch Down Tool Equip LSA 129119) is a compact instrument for terminating and connecting conductors in data, information and telecommunications cabling. Designed for use with LSA-series and RJ45 jacks including high-band contacts, the tool accepts conductor diameters from 0.35 to 0.9 mm and core diameters from 0.7 to 2.6 mm. It is lightweight (52 g) and designed for easy handling during installation and maintenance tasks.
The tool provides reliable terminations for LSA and RJ45 contacts and supports a broad range of conductor and core sizes. An integrated sensor disables operation when a second wire is present in the same contact (function depends on wire count and specifications). The cutting blade can be switched off to permit looping a potential onto adjacent contacts. Its compact dimensions and low weight make it convenient to carry and use in confined spaces.
Position the conductor into the appropriate contact of the LSA or RJ45 jack. Use the punch down tool to press the conductor into the contact until the tool seats the wire and, if enabled, trims the excess. If looping a potential onto an adjacent contact is required, switch off the cutter to avoid trimming the looped conductor. Be aware that the sensor may prevent operation when a second wire occupies the same contact depending on wire specification; adjust wiring accordingly.
Use the punch down tool on compatible LSA-series and RJ45 jacks only. Verify conductor and core diameters before termination. If you need to loop a potential, switch off the cutter to preserve the looped conductor. Store the tool in a dry place and avoid excessive force to prolong blade life.
