The Ergom 2KAM 95/8 aluminum ring terminal is a professional-grade component designed for secure and efficient electrical terminations. Engineered specifically for 95 mm² aluminum conductors, this terminal provides a robust connection point for power distribution systems, ensuring low contact resistance and long-term mechanical stability in demanding environments.
This terminal is manufactured from high-quality aluminum, offering an excellent balance of conductivity and weight. Its design facilitates a reliable crimped connection that maintains integrity under thermal expansion and mechanical stress. The precision-engineered ring geometry ensures a consistent contact surface area, which is essential for preventing overheating and maintaining optimal electrical flow in high-current applications.
This terminal is designed exclusively for aluminum conductors and should not be used with copper cables unless appropriate bimetallic transition adapters are employed to prevent galvanic corrosion. It is also not intended for applications where the mounting stud diameter significantly exceeds 8 mm.
To install the Ergom 2KAM 95/8 terminal, first strip the insulation from the aluminum conductor to the appropriate length. Insert the conductor fully into the barrel of the terminal. Use a professional hydraulic crimping tool equipped with the correct dies specified for 95 mm² aluminum terminals to ensure a gas-tight connection. Once crimped, secure the terminal to the mounting surface using an 8 mm bolt, ensuring the connection is tightened to the manufacturer's recommended torque specifications.
Always clean the aluminum conductor surface and apply a suitable jointing compound before crimping to prevent oxidation and ensure the highest possible electrical conductivity over the lifespan of the connection.
