The Erico 187660 spring clip is a professional-grade fastener engineered for secure and efficient mounting on structural elements. This component is specifically designed to attach items to steel structures without the need for drilling, punching, or welding, thereby preserving the integrity of the base material. It provides a robust and reliable connection for various industrial and construction projects, ensuring long-term stability in demanding environments.
Advantages
The primary benefit of this spring clip is its ability to facilitate rapid installation, significantly reducing labor time and costs on site. Because it requires no specialized tools or surface modifications, it is an ideal choice for projects where structural integrity must be maintained. The high-quality spring steel construction ensures a firm grip that resists vibration and mechanical stress, providing a dependable mounting solution for cables, conduits, or other lightweight components.
Suitable for
- Securing cables and conduits to steel beams
- Industrial electrical installations
- Construction site temporary or permanent mounting
- Applications where drilling or welding is prohibited
When it may not be suitable
This clip is not intended for heavy-duty structural support or for applications involving materials outside the specified diameter and flange thickness ranges. It should not be used on surfaces that are not rigid or on materials that could be damaged by the clamping force of the spring steel.
Key specifications
- Compatible component diameter: 10-11 mm
- Supported flange thickness: 8-12 mm
- Material: High-strength spring steel
- Installation method: Snap-on/Pressure fit
- Quantity: 100 units per pack
How to use
To install the Erico spring clip, identify the appropriate location on the steel flange. Align the clip with the edge of the flange and apply firm manual pressure to snap the clip into place. Ensure that the component being mounted is securely seated within the clip's designated diameter housing. Verify that the clip is fully engaged and flush against the flange to guarantee a stable connection.
What to consider before purchase
- Verify the exact thickness of the steel flange to ensure it falls within the 8-12 mm range.
- Confirm the diameter of the cable or component being attached is between 10-11 mm.
- Assess the environmental conditions to ensure the material is suitable for the intended application.
Usage recommendations
Always ensure the mounting surface is clean and free of debris before installation to maximize the grip of the spring clip. Do not exceed the load-bearing capacity of the fastener.
