Crimp Ferrule Erko TE model TE_1-12/100 1 mm² tin-plated, pack of 100
Erko TE model TE_1-12/100 tin-plated crimp ferrules are designed for terminating stranded conductors with a nominal cross-section of 1 mm². Supplied in a pack of 100, these end sleeves are made with a tin-plated finish to improve corrosion resistance and to ensure stable electrical contact in terminal blocks, screw terminals and plug connectors. They protect wire strands from fraying and distribute crimping pressure evenly to produce consistent mechanical and electrical connections in electrical installations, control cabinets and vehicle wiring harnesses.
The tin-plated surface enhances conductivity and provides additional protection against oxidation compared with bare copper sleeves. Supplied in a bulk pack of 100, these ferrules offer consistent dimensions and a smooth internal bore for easy insertion of stranded wire. The design reduces the risk of loose strands and improves clamping reliability in screw-type terminals, leading to lower contact resistance and more repeatable terminations during assembly and maintenance.
These ferrules are intended specifically for stranded copper conductors with a nominal cross-section of 1 mm²; they are not suitable for solid conductors or for conductors with significantly different cross-sections. For applications requiring high-temperature resistance, specialized plating or insulation sleeves, choose a product specified for those conditions.
Strip the stranded conductor to the recommended length for the terminal, insert the conductor fully into the ferrule so that strands are contained within the sleeve, and use a suitable crimping tool sized for 1 mm² ferrules to form a firm, even crimp. After crimping, visually inspect the sleeve for secure compression and check that no strands protrude. Insert the crimped ferrule into the terminal and tighten the connection according to the terminal manufacturer's torque specification.
Use a dedicated insulated or uninsulated crimping tool that matches the ferrule size to achieve consistent compressions. Store the pack in a dry environment to avoid corrosion before use, and follow terminal manufacturer torque values when tightening to maintain reliable electrical contact.
