3D Printer Filament eSun EPLA-CF 1.75 mm Brown 1 kg, PLA-CF Composite
eSun EPLA-CF 1.75 mm Brown is a 1 kg spool of PLA-based composite filament reinforced with short carbon fibers, formulated for fused filament fabrication (FFF/FDM) 3D printers. The material combines the ease of printing associated with PLA with increased stiffness and improved dimensional stability thanks to the carbon fiber content. The brown color produces a matte, textured surface that is suitable for both functional parts and visually restrained decorative pieces. The filament is intended for standard 1.75 mm extruders and requires typical handling adjustments for composite materials.
The PLA-CF composite delivers higher stiffness and better creep resistance compared with standard PLA while remaining compatible with common FDM printer setups. Its matte textured finish reduces visible layer sheen and provides a subdued aesthetic without additional post-processing. The filament maintains good dimensional accuracy and warping resistance under standard print settings, facilitating production of mechanical prototypes and small structural components. Designed for nominal 1.75 mm feeders, it works with direct drive and Bowden systems when proper nozzle and retraction parameters are used.
Load the filament into a 3D printer configured for 1.75 mm material and ensure the hotend and feeder are clean and free of debris. Use a hardened or wear-resistant nozzle when printing abrasive composite filaments to avoid premature nozzle wear. Set printing temperature and retraction to values appropriate for PLA composites and calibrate first-layer height and extrusion multiplier for accurate dimensions. Monitor first layers to confirm good bed adhesion; adjust bed temperature or use adhesion aids if necessary. Allow printed parts to cool gradually to reduce risk of internal stress.
Use a hardened steel or ruby-tipped nozzle to extend nozzle life when printing carbon-fiber-filled PLA. Start with moderate print speeds and tuned retraction settings to minimize stringing and schedule routine maintenance on the extruder drive to handle the slightly more abrasive nature of the filament.
