How to use

Charge the included BL‑5C 1300 mAh batteries in the supplied charging base before first use. Turn the unit on, select the desired frequency group (446 MHz or 448 MHz), choose a channel and, if needed, set a CTCSS/DCS code to reduce interference. Use the volume control to set the listening level and enable VOX for hands‑free operation if required. Press and hold the push‑to‑talk (PTT) button to transmit and release to listen. Use the scan and monitor functions to check channel activity.

Usage recommendations

For best results, use the 2 W mode (448 MHz) in open terrain to maximize range and switch to 0.5 W (PMR 446) when compliance with PMR regulations or shorter range is preferred. Keep spare charged batteries or a power bank for extended multi‑day trips and position the antenna vertically for optimal signal.
