Concrete drill bit Expert+ SDS+ 8 x 250 x 310 mm, 4-cut, single piece
Concrete drill bit Expert+ SDS+ 8 x 250 x 310 mm, 4-cut, single piece
Expert+ SDS+ concrete drill bit with an 8 mm diameter, 250 mm working length and 310 mm overall length is designed for percussive drilling in concrete, masonry and natural stone. The bit features a four-cut tip intended to improve centring and chip removal during rotary hammer operation. Supplied as a single piece, this SDS+ shank drill is compatible with SDS+ rotary hammer drills and offers a balance of precision and durability for both professional tradespeople and informed DIY users.
The four-cut tip geometry increases drilling efficiency by improving centring and reducing wander at drill start, while enhanced flute geometry promotes faster removal of dust and debris from the hole. The SDS+ shank ensures secure engagement in compatible chucks for consistent percussive force transfer. The single-piece construction minimises weak joints and contributes to longer service life under repeated hammer drilling conditions.
Insert the SDS+ shank fully into the compatible rotary hammer chuck until it locks. Select the hammer drilling mode on the tool and apply steady axial pressure with the drill running at appropriate speed for the material. Start drilling with light pressure to establish a precise entry point, then increase pressure while allowing the hammer action to perform impact cutting. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and maintain efficient cutting, especially when drilling deep holes close to the working length.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask. When drilling reinforced concrete, monitor bit wear and replace the bit if the cutting edges become rounded or if progress slows significantly. For prolonged life, avoid excessive lateral force and keep the drill bit clean of packed dust between operations.
