USB - RS-232 Cable EXSYS EX-1301-2F 1.8m Black
The EXSYS USB - RS-232 Cable EX-1301-2F is a 1.8 m cable that creates a single RS-232 serial COM port from a USB 1.1/2.0 host. It uses a high-performance 16C550-type UART to provide full RS-232 V.24 signal support on a 9-pin female (DCE) connector, allowing direct connection to serial devices without an additional serial cable. The cable draws power from the USB bus and installs without opening the computer chassis.
This cable provides instant COM port expansion via USB with a 16-byte FIFO buffer (16C550-type) for reliable serial communication. The 9-pin female connector is ready to plug directly into DTE devices, eliminating the need for separate serial cables. The device is bus-powered and supports common serial line signals and standard data framing options, with system-assigned I/O and interrupt settings for simple installation.
Install the appropriate driver if required by your operating system, then plug the USB A connector into an available USB 1.1/2.0 port on the host. The operating system will assign I/O addresses and interrupt settings automatically. Connect the 9-pin female RS-232 connector directly to the serial device. Use the device manager or terminal software to open the newly created COM port and configure baud rate and framing parameters to match the connected device.
For stable operation, avoid routing the cable alongside high-voltage power lines or sources of strong electromagnetic interference. Use shielded cable routing where available and confirm serial settings (baud rate, parity, data/stop bits) on both ends before initiating communication.
