Product information

Description

The Extralink Cable Pulling Rod Pilot 6mm 200m Glass Fibre FRP Yellow is an essential tool designed for professional electrical and telecommunication installations. Built with a robust 6 mm diameter and a generous 200 m length, this cable pulling rod ensures efficient routing of cables through conduits, pipes, walls, and telecommunication manholes. Constructed from durable glass fibre FRP and coated with yellow PE plastic, the rod provides excellent flexibility, high tensile strength, and superior sliding properties while resisting bending and breaking.

Advantages

The Extralink glass fibre cable pulling rod features a sturdy frame equipped with a wheel support and a manual brake for secure drum locking during transport and operation. The protective yellow PE coating enhances durability and allows the rod to glide smoothly through restricted spaces without snagging. Its combination of high elasticity and rigidity makes it exceptionally reliable for demanding installation environments.

Suitable for

Pulling electrical and network cables through conduits and pipes
Routing cables between telecommunication manholes and under roads
Installing cables in suspended ceilings and protective tubes
Cleaning and unclogging pipes, conduits, and sewage systems

When it may not be suitable

This tool may be oversized and less practical for minor residential wiring tasks or confined indoor spaces where a shorter, more flexible fish tape is sufficient. Due to its weight and dimensions, it is primarily intended for professional field installations rather than casual DIY use.

Key specifications

Rod material: Glass fibre FRP
Rod diameter: 6 mm
Rod length: 200 m
Rod colour: Yellow
Frame equipment: Wheel support and manual brake

How to use

Position the frame on a stable surface and release the manual brake to allow the drum to turn freely. Guide the leading end of the fibreglass rod into the conduit, pipe, or wall opening, feeding it steadily until it reaches the destination point. Attach the cable securely to the guiding head at the end of the rod, engage the manual brake if necessary to control tension, and carefully pull the rod back to draw the cable through the conduit.

What to consider before purchase

Verify that the 200-meter length and 6-millimeter diameter match your specific installation requirements
Ensure you have adequate transport and storage space for the unit dimensions and weight
Assess whether the wheel support and frame setup suit your working conditions on site

Usage recommendations: Always engage the manual brake when transporting the unit or when pausing work to prevent unintended unwinding. Inspect the glass fibre rod regularly for signs of wear or damage to maintain safe and efficient operation during professional cable installations.
