Cable puller-feeder Extralink EX.16026 Blue Yellow Fibreglass
Cable puller-feeder Extralink EX.16026 Blue Yellow Fibreglass
The Extralink EX.16026 Blue Yellow Fibreglass cable puller-feeder is a 50 m fibreglass rod system designed for efficient and controlled cable installation in telecommunications and networking environments. The rod has a 4.5 mm diameter and combines high flexibility with tensile and abrasion resistance. The fibreglass core is protected by a yellow PE coating to improve sliding and reduce wear during pushing or pulling operations. The product is supplied on a powder-coated blue stand that facilitates unrolling, transport and storage, and includes a guiding head at the leading end for smooth feeding through ducts and conduits.
The fibreglass material provides a balance of elasticity and strength, reducing the risk of permanent deformation while allowing navigation through bends. The 4.5 mm diameter is suitable for many standard duct and conduit applications, and the yellow PE coating improves glide performance and protects the fiber from abrasion. The powder-coated blue rack includes a manual brake to lock the drum during pauses or transport and an integrated eyelet to guide the rod, simplifying handling and reducing the likelihood of tangles. The guiding head at the end facilitates insertion and protects the rod tip.
Place the powder-coated stand on a stable surface and release the manual brake to allow controlled unrolling of the fibreglass rod. Guide the leading head through the duct or conduit while keeping steady tension to prevent buckling. For cable pulling, attach the cable to the rod end according to standard practice for your cable type, ensuring secure fastening and smooth transitions. Use the manual brake to stop and lock the drum when pausing work or to prevent unwinding during transport. After use, rewind the rod onto the rack, engage the brake and store the unit upright or in a secure location to protect the rod and coating.
Avoid sharp impacts and excessive bending beyond the specified minimum bending radius to preserve rod integrity. Clean any abrasive debris from ducts before feeding to minimise wear on the PE coating. Inspect the guiding head and the rod coating regularly for damage and replace or repair the guiding head if it becomes worn. Use appropriate personal protective equipment when handling fibreglass rods and follow local safety procedures for cable installation.
