Patchcord Extralink LC/UPC - LC/UPC Singlemode Duplex G.652D 3mm 10m
Extralink LC/UPC - LC/UPC Singlemode Duplex G.652D 3mm 10m patchcord is a 10-metre fibre optic jumper designed for singlemode networks. The cable uses ITU-T G.652D singlemode fibre and a 3.0 mm jacket for reliable indoor and cabinet routing. Both ends are terminated with LC/UPC duplex connectors to provide low-loss, full-duplex optical links between patch panels, ODFs, ONTs and other telecom or data centre equipment.
The patchcord combines G.652D fibre performance with compact LC/UPC duplex connectors, offering consistent insertion loss and return loss suitable for singlemode transmission. Its 3 mm cable construction balances flexibility and mechanical protection for routing in cabinets and conduits. As a pre-terminated jumper, it simplifies installations and reduces on-site termination time while maintaining stable optical characteristics for voice, data and broadband services.
Route the patchcord along prepared cable channels or inside cabinets, avoiding tight bends and excessive tension. Insert each LC/UPC connector into the corresponding duplex adapter or transceiver port until it clicks. Ensure correct polarity for transmit/receive alignment when connecting equipment. For best optical performance, keep connector end-faces clean and protected with dust caps until final connection; inspect and clean connectors with appropriate fibre cleaning tools if necessary.
Store the patchcord coiled without sharp bends and avoid placing heavy objects on the cable. Use bend radius guidelines for a 3 mm cable (typically no less than 10x the cable diameter) and handle LC connectors by the housing to prevent contamination. Regular inspection and cleaning of connector end-faces help maintain low loss and reliable links.
