Product information

Description

The Extralink Cable Pulling Rod Pilot 3.8mm 25m Glass Fibre FRP Yellow is an essential tool designed for efficient cable pulling and routing through conduits, pipes, and walls during networking and electrical installations. Built with a durable fibreglass FRP rod and a flexible polyester extension, this 25-meter rod with a 3.8 mm diameter ensures reliable performance. Its corrosion-resistant yellow design offers high visibility on the job site.

Advantages

The cable pulling rod provides high elasticity and great resistance to bending and breaking, allowing it to navigate complex pathways easily. The bright yellow color ensures high visibility during installation tasks, while the smooth protective plastic coating provides excellent sliding properties. The tool is lightweight and designed for convenient transport and storage.

Suitable for

Pulling wires between telecommunication manholes
Pushing cables under roads and through conduits
Cable installations in suspended ceilings
Routing cables into protective tubes
Cleaning and unclogging pipes and conduits

When it may not be suitable

This cable pulling rod may not be suitable for heavy-duty industrial pull operations requiring thicker rods or longer lengths beyond its 25-meter reach. It is also not designed for structural support applications.

Key specifications

Rod length: 25 m
Rod diameter: 3.8 mm
Rod material: Fibreglass FRP
Flexible extension material: Polyester
Product colour: Yellow
Corrosion resistant: Yes

How to use

Unwind the required length of the fibreglass rod from the spool carefully. Insert the guiding head end of the rod into the conduit, pipe, or wall opening, and push it through until it emerges at the destination point. Attach the cable securely to the guiding head or use it to pull a pull-line back through the conduit. Retract the rod steadily after use and store it properly.

What to consider before purchase

Verify that the 25-meter length and 3.8 mm diameter match the requirements of your specific installation conduits.
Assess whether the fibreglass material and pulling strength are adequate for your intended cable types.

Usage recommendations: Always wear appropriate protective gear such as gloves when handling fibreglass rods to avoid skin irritation. Do not exceed the maximum bending radius to prevent damaging the fibreglass core.
