The Extralink 4.5 mm 75 m cable pulling rod is a fiberglass (FRP) rod with a diameter of 4.5 mm and a total length of 75 meters, supplied on a blue powder-coated stand that facilitates unwinding. The rod is covered with yellow PE plastic for protection and improved sliding; the stand includes a manual brake to lock the drum and an eye guide. The rod end is fitted with a guiding head suitable for feeding and positioning cables.
The fiberglass construction provides high elasticity and resistance to bending and breaking, ensuring reliable performance during cable pulling and pipe cleaning tasks. The yellow PE coating protects the rod and improves glide inside conduits and ducts. The powder-coated stand adds corrosion resistance and includes a brake and guiding eye for controlled unwinding and convenient transport and storage.
Mount the drum on the stand and secure it with the brake if needed to control unwinding. Feed the guiding head into the conduit, manhole, or pipe and push the rod forward while keeping steady pressure and rotation as required. Use the PE-coated surface to reduce friction; reverse and withdraw the rod carefully after installation or cleaning. For pushing cables under roads or through suspended ceilings, feed cable behind the guiding head and advance the rod until the required span is reached.
Inspect the rod and guiding head before each use for damage or excessive wear. Do not exceed recommended bending limits for a 4.5 mm FRP rod to avoid breakage. Use appropriate personal protective equipment and follow local safety regulations when working in manholes, traffic zones, or confined spaces.
