The Extralink cable pulling rod is a professional tool designed for efficient cable installation in conduits and pipes. Constructed from high-elasticity fiberglass with a diameter of 3.8 mm and a length of 20 meters, this rod offers excellent resistance to bending and tearing. The rod is coated in yellow polyethylene, which provides protection and ensures smooth sliding properties during operation. It is mounted on a powder-coated blue metal stand that features a manual brake and a guide eyelet for controlled deployment.
The primary advantage of this cable pulling rod is its high flexibility combined with structural durability, allowing it to navigate complex conduit paths without kinking or breaking. The integrated stand simplifies the unrolling process and prevents tangling, while the manual brake allows the user to secure the rod at the desired length. The protective polyethylene coating reduces friction, making it easier to push the rod through long or narrow cable ducts, and the bright yellow color enhances visibility in low-light environments.
This tool is not intended for use in extremely high-temperature environments that exceed the thermal limits of the polyethylene coating. It is also not suitable for pulling heavy-duty industrial cables that exceed the tensile strength capacity of a 3.8 mm fiberglass rod.
To use the Extralink cable pulling rod, place the stand on a stable surface and release the manual brake. Feed the guiding head into the conduit and push the rod forward as needed. Once the rod reaches the destination, attach the cable to the guiding head using a pulling grip or tape. Engage the manual brake if you need to hold the rod in a fixed position during the process. After the cable is pulled through, retract the rod carefully and wind it back onto the drum, ensuring it is stored cleanly.
Usage recommendations: Always inspect the fiberglass rod for cracks or damage before each use to prevent breakage inside the conduit. Keep the rod clean and free of debris to maintain its sliding properties.
