Product information

Description

The Extralink Cable pulling rod Pilot 3.8mm 75m glass fibre FRP yellow is a professional tool designed for efficient cable pulling and conduit routing in electrical and network installations. Built from durable fibreglass with a diameter of 3.8 mm and a length of 75 meters, this cable pulling rod offers exceptional reliability on the job site. The yellow rod is coated with a protective PE plastic layer that enhances durability and smoothness during operation.

Advantages

The fibreglass construction provides high flexibility and excellent resistance to bending and tearing, making it suitable for complex routing tasks. The bright yellow PE sheath offers extra mechanical protection while improving visibility and lubricity inside conduits. The assembly includes a sturdy, powder-coated blue stand featuring a manual lock to secure the drum during transport and storage, alongside a guiding eye and a guiding head that together facilitate smooth operation and user comfort.

Suitable for

Pulling cables through conduits and pipes in electrical installations
Routing network and telecommunication cables in buildings
Professional telecommunication and installation work

When it may not be suitable

This tool may not be appropriate for extremely tight conduit bends where a thinner or more specialized micro-duct fish tape is required. It is also not intended for heavy structural load-bearing applications outside of standard cable pulling tasks.

Key specifications

Rod diameter: 3.8 mm
Rod length: 75 m
Rod material: Fibreglass (FRP)
Product colour: Yellow
Width: 200 mm
Depth: 530 mm
Height: 630 mm

How to use

To use the Extralink cable pulling rod, place the stand on a stable surface and release the manual lock on the drum. Unwind the required length of the fibreglass rod and guide it through the conduit or pipe using the guiding head. Once the rod reaches the other side, attach the cable securely to the guiding head. Carefully reel the rod back onto the drum while guiding the cable through the conduit. Engage the manual lock when finished to secure the drum for storage or transport.

What to consider before purchase

Verify that the 75-meter length and 3.8 mm diameter match the requirements of your specific installation projects
Ensure you have adequate storage and transport space for the stand dimensions of 200 x 530 x 630 mm

Usage recommendations

Always inspect the fibreglass rod for signs of wear or splintering before each use, and do not exceed the recommended bending radius to prolong the lifespan of the tool.
