Fibre optic cable Extralink EX.3616, FTTH G.652D, SC to LC, 2 m, full duplex, yellow
Extralink EX.3616 is a 2 m FTTH single-mode fibre optic patchcord built with G.652D fibre and a 3.0 mm PVC jacket. One end is terminated with an SC/UPC connector and the other with an LC/UPC connector, supporting full duplex transmission. The cable is intended for short-distance connections in fibre-to-the-home deployments and for linking optical network equipment such as ONT/ONU devices, switches and media converters.
The cable offers standard single-mode performance compliant with G.652D fibre characteristics, ensuring low attenuation and stable signal transfer over short links. Its SC to LC termination provides compatibility with a wide range of optical ports, while the 3.0 mm PVC jacket delivers physical protection and flexibility for indoor routing. Full duplex termination simplifies duplex data flows without additional adapters.
Inspect both connectors and mating ports for dust or debris before connection. Align and insert the SC connector into the corresponding SC socket until it clicks, then insert the LC connector into the LC socket with the latch engaged. Route the 3.0 mm cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius for single-mode fibres. When disconnecting, release the LC latch and pull the SC connector straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.
Store and handle the cable in a clean environment, use dust caps when connectors are not in use, and avoid bending the cable below its minimum bend radius to preserve optical performance. For permanent installations, secure the cable to prevent tension on connectors and periodically inspect connector endfaces for contamination.
