Network patch cable Extralink Cat5e UTP 5 m — RJ-45 to RJ-45, grey
Extralink Cat5e UTP 5 m patch cable is a flexible unshielded twisted pair Ethernet lead with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, designed for indoor LAN and Ethernet connections. With a 5 metre length and grey jacket, the cable supports Category 5e performance for standard network tasks and is suitable for connecting switches, routers, patch panels, computers and VoIP phones. Constructed from four twisted pure copper conductors, the cable also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) where applicable and provides straightforward installation in home and office environments.
The Extralink Cat5e UTP cable combines flexibility and reliable signal transmission thanks to its pure copper conductors and Class 5e design. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs ensure good contact and corrosion resistance, while the unshielded construction makes the cord lightweight and easy to route in tight spaces. A 5 m length offers a practical balance between reach and tidy cable management for typical indoor layouts.
Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the network ports of the devices you want to link, such as a switch, router, patch panel or computer. Ensure connectors click into place and that the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends or pinch points that could impair performance. For patch panel installations, measure and lay the cable to allow for proper slack and strain relief; for desktop connections use cable ties or clips to keep the installation tidy.
For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines or near strong electromagnetic sources. Use the 5 m length for indoor, structured cabling and check device compatibility if you plan to use PoE features.
