Extralink RJ45 crimp tool 4P+6P+8P with ratchet for modular plugs, 1 pc
The Extralink RJ45 crimp tool 4P+6P+8P with ratchet is a compact hand tool for terminating twisted-pair network cables with modular plugs. Designed to crimp RJ45 (8P), RJ12 (6P) and RJ11 (4P) connectors, the tool supports both shielded and unshielded connector types and includes integrated blades for cutting cable conductors and trimming outer jackets. A ratchet mechanism ensures consistent, complete crimps, while the built-in locking device secures the handles during storage and transport. The tool is supplied as a single unit and is suitable for on-site repairs, cable assembly and regular installation work.
The ratchet mechanism guarantees uniform pressure during each crimp cycle, reducing the risk of incomplete contacts and increasing termination reliability. Integrated cutting blades let you trim conductor wires and remove the cable jacket without switching tools, saving time on the job. The handle lock keeps the tool safely closed when not in use, and the multi-size die accommodates 4P, 6P and 8P modular plugs, eliminating the need for separate crimpers for different connector types. The black, blue and orange colour scheme provides clear visual identification.
Strip the cable jacket to expose the conductors to the required length, arrange the wires according to the chosen wiring standard, and insert the conductors into the modular plug until they reach the plug end. Place the plug into the appropriate die (4P, 6P or 8P) and squeeze the handles until the ratchet completes a full cycle; the mechanism will release only after a full crimp to ensure a secure connection. Use the built-in blades to cut excess conductor length and to trim the jacket before crimping. Release the handle lock to open the tool after the ratchet has finished.
For reliable terminations, verify wire order before crimping and test each terminated cable with an appropriate cable tester. Avoid excessive bending of conductors and ensure the plug’s contacts penetrate insulation fully. Clean the blades periodically and store the crimp tool in the locked position to protect the dies and cutting edges.
