The Extreme Networks AP3000-WW is a compact, enterprise-class Wi‑Fi 6E access point that supports 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. Designed to deliver high-efficiency wireless connectivity in a small, low-power form factor, the AP3000-WW combines dual 2x2:2 radios, multi-band filtering and advanced security to provide reliable performance for dense or challenging environments. The unit is a Universal World SKU that supports Extreme's multi-persona hardware model, allowing selection of the operating system persona remotely via ExtremeCloud IQ.

How to use

Mount the AP3000-WW in the desired location and connect to a PoE source or the appropriate power supply. On initial boot the access point will attempt to contact ExtremeCloud IQ to obtain its preprovisioned persona and configuration; administrators may also select or change the operating system persona (IQ Engine or WiNG) during startup or later through management tools. Use ExtremeCloud IQ or on‑premises management to define SSIDs, security policies (including WPA3 and PPSK), radio modes and analytics dashboards. Enable Bluetooth Low Energy features and API integrations as required for IoT or guest engagement services.

Usage recommendations

Place the AP3000-WW to maximise line-of-sight for client devices and avoid sources of RF interference. Use ExtremeCloud IQ to geo-locate the AP so regulatory channel and power limits for the operating country are applied automatically. For dense deployments, plan channel allocation and power settings centrally and verify that multi-band filtering and tri-frequency security options are enabled for consistent performance and secure access.
