Carbide Shank Milling Cutter FANAR 8.0 mm, 20/63 mm, Z6, HA8 VHM
Solid carbide shank milling cutter FANAR 8.0 mm, 20/63 mm, Z6, HA8 VHM is a full-carbide end mill designed for precision metal machining. With an 8.0 mm cutting diameter and a total/working length configuration of 20/63 mm, this VHM tool features six cutting edges (Z6) and HA8 geometry to deliver consistent profiles, accurate slotting and smooth finishing passes in CNC and manual milling applications.
The full-carbide construction ensures high rigidity and excellent wear resistance under continuous cutting conditions. The HA8 geometry balances chip evacuation and cutting edge strength, enabling stable performance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Six flutes provide improved surface finish and higher material removal rates on finishing and profiling operations while maintaining dimensional accuracy.
Select appropriate spindle speed and feed rate according to the machined material and the cutter diameter; use coolant or minimum quantity lubrication where material and process require it. Ensure the toolholder provides sufficient clamping and runout control to exploit the cutter's rigidity. For slotting, use steady axial engagement and reduce step-over for deeper cuts; for finishing, apply light axial depth and higher feed per tooth to achieve the desired surface quality.
Inspect tool condition regularly and replace when wear affects edge integrity. Use balanced toolholders and verify spindle runout below recommended tolerances to maximize tool life. Adjust cutting parameters when machining hardened or abrasive materials to prevent premature wear.
