Reamer FANAR POGLEBIACZ DIN 335-C 90° × 20.5 mm TIN HSS
FANAR POGLEBIACZ DIN 335-C 90° × 20.5 mm TIN HSS is a countersink and reamer tool crafted for metalworking operations that require accurate chamfering and hole finishing. Manufactured in HSS (high-speed steel) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, the tool follows DIN 335-C geometry and provides a 90° countersink angle with a 20.5 mm cutting diameter. It is intended for use in drills, milling machines and general machine shop applications where consistent chamfer size and controlled reaming are required.
The HSS substrate combined with TiN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance while maintaining cutting toughness. DIN 335-C geometry ensures uniform chamfer profiles and predictable sizing across repeated operations. The 90° angle is suitable for standard screw head countersinks and produces clean deburred edges. The solid design is compatible with common machine tool setups, enabling stable cutting and repeatable results.
Secure the workpiece and select an appropriate machine (drill press, milling machine or CNC). Mount the FANAR countersink in a compatible chuck or holder, ensuring concentricity. Use moderate spindle speeds and feed rates suited to the workpiece material; reduce speed for harder steels and increase for softer non-ferrous metals. Apply cutting fluid when machining steels to extend tool life and improve surface finish. Advance the tool until the desired chamfer is achieved, then retract and inspect the edge for correct size and finish.
For best results, use dedicated cutting fluids on steel, avoid excessive axial pressure to prevent tool deflection, and check tool runout periodically. Replace the tool when wear affects chamfer geometry or surface finish to maintain consistent results.
